Man, I’ve got this whole

Man, I’ve got this whole unemployment thing down and it didn’t even take me a week. I’m so good at it I should put it on my resume and make a point to mention it at interviews. “Yes, I could do an excellent job working for your company, but I’d also be very good at not working for you. You win either way.” It goes something like this: wake up around 11, eat giant bowl of rice krispies, play Neverwinter Nights and/or Warcraft3, ignore nagging self doubt and sense of impending doom, remind myself that I’m looking for a job, briefly browse online job sites and find nothing promising, roommates arrive home from work, play Neverwinter Nights and/or Warcraft3 with roommates, sleep. With a packed schedule like this, its easy to see why I haven’t been posting here as often.

So if you were to

So if you were to ask me what I did last night, I would have to say that I certainly wasn’t playing a copy of a highly anticipated game that’s supposed to be in closed beta testing only called, I don’t know, lets call it the arcraftway eethray etabay. And it certainly wasn’t absolutely amazing. Wink wink, nudge nudge. I can’t wait until June.

[Insert clever segue here] Kimmee‘s got a blog now! Whoo!

[Insert another witty, well thought out segue, perfectly easing the transition between two seemingly unrelated thoughts and reminding you once again how masterfully I employ the English language, bending and shaping it effortlessly at my whim.] This is my new favorite search request from my referrer log. Partly because its from the Japanese Google page, and partly because I have no idea how I got rated second highest for that.

[Insert yet another… ah, screw it. Here’s some “What X are you”? tests]

So what have I been

So what have I been doing with all my hours and hours of free time since I dropped those 2 extra classes? To borrow from Office Space, I’ve been doing nothing and its everything I thought it would be. Only its not. Sure, its great to not be rushing around wondering how you’re going to find time to get everything done, but at the end of the day you’re left with the nagging feeling that you haven’t done anything useful all day because, well, you haven’t done anything useful all day. Its pretty unsatisfying. I figured with all my free time, I’d finally do some programming on my own, port the OSU graphics software to windows, learn how to setup a web server, get a db setup with mySQL, etc, etc etc. Nope. All I’ve done so far is kill a bunch of Nazis, play with faeries, obtain ultimate power, and kick it old school. Lame. In order to feel like I’ve accomplished something every day, I’ve started to become our official house maid. Whenever I get too bored, I go clean something. Its not much, but its a start.

When it comes to my

When it comes to my favorite video games of all time, Master of Magic would have to be pretty high up on the list, especially since I just found out its possible to get that old DOS relic to run under Windows2000. The game is over 9 years old and looks extremely dated, but I still can’t get enough of it. The only downside is that the game was always plagued with stability issues, and its age certainly hasn’t helped that.
