Comedy gold, friends, pure comedy gold. Yet another Talking Monkeys show tonight, this time with some new skits and some stuff using video, which I believe was a first for them. Comedy was in no short supply, since the show ran close to two and a half hours, which even counting a 15 minute intermission is a long long show. I missed the first 30 minutes or so because I couldn’t get off of work early and apparently I missed a really good video bit. There were some really great skits this time around, especially a GI Joe sketch which completely and hilariously tarnished the memory of many of my animated childhood heros. For being primarily an improv troupe they sure come up with some good skits. And hey, Brett made it into town for this one, so that was pretty cool too.
